I see your point, although I don't think you will ever see mine. See I happen to love the music and since I first heard Dubstep music I have been amazed by it's diversity. I feel the energy deeply when I dance to it and it offers everything that I could ever want from music. Perhaps I am in over my head and being overly critical however; I have taught myself to look at both sides always, because balance is essential. . There is also something very becoming about making something out of nothing. I think that by scraping up the worst from something so wonderful can re-establish your love for it. There is a dark side and a light side to everything. It is our job to breathe the beauty that which is shining through its raw purity. I also realize that I have ripped this story to shreds, but then why is it we do anything in life?

Besides being a disjointed and speculative argument, I think you're over-thinking dubstep and seeing it as some kind of rebellion. Which, I think for everybody, is pretty embarrassing. For me, dubstep is all about the energy at a rave, the chest box, the fucking vibes.

As for OMG, if annoying your target demographic is such an inspired marketing strategy, they should rename Pepsi "Piss Off".

Yes I realize. He may have disgusted you with the title of his new album, but I happen to think that it is one of the best marketing strategies out there. I live in San Francisco, but Dubstep is blowing up in L.A. and that just happens to be the mecca for "the valley girl". Besides that insurmountable factor, everyone who speaks English and has a cell phone, email, or chats online knows what OMG means even if they don't use it themselves. On that note, by disgusting you, Rusko did exactly what he wanted to. Dubstep is more than just edgy turbulence, it can grabs your attention by acting malicious and in your face. It's resonance is over bearing, irritating to most eardrums, and too fast for most brains to capture. Just like a young valley girl from hollywood (: omg

Ok, well, we do appreciate your comments here, but nobody has ever uttered the phrase "Oh my grime" except you. People say "That's grimy as fuck" or "Griiiimmmmy!" But not, "Oh my grime"....

Wow, there is truly no need for moans and groans, nor fowl mutter. You obviously have some concrete knowledge of Dubstep music, so I am assuming you have a credited understanding of the lingo at hand. I was only stating that one might be so inclined to look at O.M.G. as a pun or a play on words simply put. Grime is often a descriptive word used to verbally explain the intensity of Dubstep sonority. By the way, your web page might be more successful if you were more keen towards your commentators, just a thought. Nice to meet you Mr. David who's British. I have a bit of English in my genetic make up as well, so try not to be harmed by my eloquent sass.

I understand your point and I know he's not trying to act 'like some youngster on msn'. Rusko hasn't managed to execute the irony, the name comes across as boring and uninspiring. It's not got the same feel as going 'OH MY GOOOSH' when a huge tune drops at a rave, it just sounds like something a teenage girl would say.

if you know what rusko is like, you would have understood why he called his album OMG. he's not trying to act like some youngster on msn.
he just says 'oh my gosh' a lot. he really does. that's why he figured he might as well call his album OMG
