Camo & Krooked Turn Up the Music
Marking their debut on Hospital Records, Austrian duo Camo & Krooked appear alongside Netsky on NHS136, the forthcoming Sick Music Vol. 2 sampler. Deserving representatives of a highly anticipated release, the Viennese twosome have been making waves for a while now, with tracks such as ‘Get Funky’ and ‘Tonight’ receiving some serious club coverage. Their contribution to the collection — ‘Turn Up the Music’ — is a percussive masterclass which smacks of Mendelayev, Mr Sizef and a number of other producers who appeared on last year’s insane Future Sound of Russia compilation. A sweet yet powerful vocal hook, courtesy of Pat Fulgoni, resonates alongside graceful synth, lending the track an impressive euphoria and complementing the intricacy of the drums. So too, does the mellifluous bassline which oozes under the surface and adds body without compromising the simple nature of the atmosphere. It’s all very inspirational anyway and stands as a promising indication of what to expect from Vol. 2′s release, which is due to feature the likes of B-Complex, Reso, Mistabishi, Cyantific and MRSA, amongst others. Exciting, no?
