I tipped them for big things with the release of their first EP, Maybes, back in January last year and now London duo Mount Kimbie are popping up all over the place. With an album forthcoming on Hotflush and a calendar fuller than your Grandma’s attic, these boys are busy living that dream thing people talk about. You could say I made them, apart from the fact that nobody read what I wrote and those that did couldn’t understand it anyway. I’m kidding of course, just not about the indecipherable nature of my scribblings… I should take a journalism class or something.
Regardless, the point of this post is that the folks over at Big Chill had a little chat with Mount Kimbie and it’s worth a look. It’s quite a pretty video too, nocturnally romantic you might say. Or not. Just watch it.
