It’s probably not the best strategy to direct you away from here, your visit was most likely accidental anyway, but this is something worth seeing. Awesome Tapes from Africa is, without stumbling into Ronseal territory, exactly what it says it is: a shitload of awesome old tapes from Africa, all handily converted to mp3 form. There’s a whole host of sick tunes here, ranging from Zambian guitar pop to Congolese Jazz and further into realms untouched by your virgin mind.

Personally I’d like to recommend City Boys Band Led By Obuoba J.A. Adofo Nya Asem Hwe, but it’s going to take me ages to work through all these so I’m sure there’s some even better stuff ahead. It all makes me wish I was from an African village somewhere…which had the internet…and a couple of Indian takeaways…and maybe a jacuzzi or two. You get the point anyway.
