Director Shuffle For Bob Marley Biopic

Bob Marley

Legendary director and all-round badass Martin Scorsese has unfortunately had to pull out of directing the upcoming Bob Marley biopic due to 'scheduling conflicts'. Thankfully however, instead of Uwe Boll stepping in to make a hash of the whole project (best joke ever?), Jonathan Demme has been assigned to take Marty's place. If you're clueless and have already reached for IMDB then shame on you because Demme directed such classics as The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia and The Manchurian Candidate. He also recently directed Neil Young: Heart of Gold, which I haven't seen but critics seemed to taken a shine to, so he's obviously pretty good at this legend/music/movie crossover malarkey. Stay tuned for more details as the project develops...
